Hello, I'm Sam!
Hi friends! I am so excited you are here! I am Samantha, but most people just call me Sam. I am a dual certified birth doula and a certified GentleBirth childbirth educator! I think I am like most women in their 30s. I can't live without coffee, drink wine on occasion, I prefer to read over watching TV, Costco is my happy place, I love cooking (& eating), crafting, I'm a DIY junkie, and a birth nerd. I have 4 crazy rambunctious boys (12,9, 7, 1), I don't get nearly enough sleep, I sometimes wash the same load of laundry more than anyone needs to know, and my house will never be as clean as I want. I have a crazy busy life but I wouldn't change a thing!

We are a Navy family currently living in Chesapeake, VA, but previously lived in San Diego where my 2 older children were born, and then New Jersey where my 3rd son was born, and finally finished off with a homebirth with my 4th boy. My passion of birth and supporting women and families developed living in Cali. Each one of my births have shaped me into the person I am today. My first son was born via cesarean, which in the end made me feel sad because I didn’t get the birth that I expected. Although my experience left me feeling a little broken at the time, it brought me into a new world of natural birth and parenting that I didn’t know existed. My second and third births were amazing. I was surrounded by people who loved me, supported me, and helped me achieve the unmedicated VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) that I desired so much! I started my birth doula training with Childbirth International in 2015 and cross trained in 2023 with CAPPA, supporting and/or documenting 75 families so far in their birth journey. It is an absolute privilege to be invited into your sacred birth space. To provide you with resources and information so that you can make the best choices for your birth. To help you trust in your body, make you feel pampered, comfortable, and loved in the process

I specialize in birth, maternity, fresh 48, lifestyle newborn, children, and families. I absolutely love being able to document families at every stage!
